Professional Wedding Photography By Roël Dixon-Mahatoo

When you meet Roël, you might not see it, but he is taking mental notes of how you and your groom respond to each other, what makes you flash your brightest smile and how your face looks when share a glance with the groom. He is doing this because even before you hire him, he is planning out the photo documentary of your wedding day.

Roël loves stories of how the bride and groom met and what brought them together, "I ask them everything."He seems to have a natural ability to create real relationships with everyone he meets. This makes his photography even better, helping brides and grooms feel like they can be themselves in front of his lens.

Roël takes his digital photos using several different shooting styles, the first of which is documentary style. "I want to capture a rolling photo documentary of the day according to the bride and groom...

As he shoots your wedding, Roël is mentally envisioning how the photo documentation will come together in your album. After the day has come to an end, he puts the focus on delivering that vision in the most authentic presentation of memories possible. Roël Photography's prices are right on par with (if not a bit below) the value of his photography. Better yet, the packages he offers are easy to understand, add to, or remove from. Essentially, they are based on primarily time, and then presentation.

Candles: Tips for buying the right one

Candles: Tips for buying the right oneAlot of people have candles lying around their home. The problem is how few people take advantage of candles and use them to their benefit.

• Candles have a variety of uses around the home. The most important of which is for emergency use. If you are in a storm prone area or near the coast you know just how important they can be when the lights go out.

• The next types of candles are those that provide a good aroma to the room. People spend a lot of money every year on newer odour removal techniques yet they don’t realise how effective a candle really is for this job.

• The key to finding a good candle for your home is finding the right fragrance. If you just want to make the room smell better a lighter vanilla or ocean breeze type scent will give that fresh scent to your house. However, if you want a stronger holiday type scent it’s hard to beat a good cinnamon.

Fabrics for the Winter - Tips for Warm Interiors

Fabrics for the Winter - Tips for Warm InteriorsWinter brings along with it chills and cold dry winds. All you like is to be indoors cuddling up with a warm blanket drinking endless cups of hot ginger tea. But with the mercury dipping down to lower and lower temperatures with each passing year, our homes also tend to feel colder and uncomfortable. There are many ways to cozy up your home and maintain warmth inside. Installing a room heater can give instant effects, however is a temporary solution. It neither allows us to keep windows open and also the sudden difference in the inside and outside temperatures can cause havoc with health.

The very first thing one needs to do is to let in natural light and air during the daytime. If you are lucky to receive sunshine inside the house, keep windows and doors facing the east completely open during morning hours. However, if the sun peeps in during noon you can let in sunlight for at least 3-4 hours. This will ensure a lot of fresh air and natural warmth for those areas of the house.

With the day getting shorter, the use of more yellow lighting by the way of chandeliers and lamps can make a room warmer than when white light is used. You can however use low energy bulbs to avoid power wastage.

The ultimate way to keep indoors cozy is to use fabric generously. Replace all the sheer and lacy curtains with thick cotton or silk and satin draperies. You could even try double curtaining. Accessorise your sofa with more number of soft, foam cushions and thick settee mats. Cover the arm rests with readymade wrappers available in the market as they tend to get cold especially if the sofa is a metal one. Drape one of the empty walls with big-sized silk tapestry without framing it. You could even cover the ceiling with a nice motif-designed fabric for additional warmth.

Cover the floor with synthetic or woollen carpets instead of bamboo and cane mats. Flooring, especially marble, tends to maintain a chilly surrounding inside. Walking on a very cold floor can lead to a lot of health problems later. Cover all walk able areas in the house like corridors, bedrooms, living room, and the foyer with thick carpets.

For the beds, use good quality thick mattresses and cover the bed with quilted bedcovers. A great way to ensure comfort and coziness in the bedroom is to have a canopy for your bed. Get detachable steel rods fitted on four corners and leave a free flowing fabric with pleats adjoining them. Alternatively, you can have a canopy for the headboard by accessorising it with 3-4 different curtains.

Some Shaving Tips For that Sharp Look

Some Shaving Tips For that Sharp Look For that sharp look

Here are some tips for guys who love to groom themselves

Guys are becoming more conscious these days about their appearance and there are more male personal grooming products in the market than ever. If you are new to the male grooming scene or if you just want to know more about how to keep yourself looking young and in tip top condition, here are some tips to get you started.

Shaving Tips It's best to avoid shaving the very first thing in the morning. If possible, let your skin wake up a while. This allows any puffiness from fluids collecting in your skin during the night to recede. Then you will be able to get a closer shave.

Use an exfoliant such as a facial cleanser or mild scrub to eradicate dead skin cells and open up the pores of your skin to prepare it for a close shave.

Stubble should be wet with warm or hot water before shaving. This makes the hair shaft swell and allows the blade to cut the hair closely without cutting your skin.

Thoroughly massage shaving cream into stubble. A vitamin and Aloe Vera based shaving cream or gel will provide a close, soothing shave and protect against razor rashes and burns.

Use a sharp blade. A dull blade is responsible for many shaving cuts as it drags over your face and catches your skin along with the hairs of your beard. Rinse the blade often in hot water when shaving and use slow short strokes. Don’t rush. Always shave in the direction that your hair grows on your face. Shaving against the grain can cause redness, rashes, razor burn and ingrown hairs.

After shaving, apply an oil-free moisturiser to soothe and protect the face. If you prefer an after-shave, check the label for alcohol.

Some Vegetarian Diet Facts

Some Vegetarian Diet FactsEDS reader Gopala asked us to Give some Information on Vegetarian diets. I am posting a couple of Article on that Subject.

Vegetarian diets are low in fat

Not true. Vegetarian diets are generally lower in fat than meat-diets but they are not necessarily ‘low-fat’. Vegetarian foods like nuts, seeds, avocado, and soy foods can be quite high in vegetable fat, and of course All vegetable cooking oils are 100 per cent fat and contain 120 calories per tablespoon. Also, excess consumption of cheese and other dairy products (by lacto-ovo vegetarians) can easily add up to high-fat eating, even though it's vegetarian. The good news is, (except for dairy fats) vegetarian diets are usually significantly lower in saturated fat. Nonetheless, all fat is calorie-dense (9 calories per gram), so vegetarians need to monitor their fat content just like meat-eaters.

Giving up meat and ‘going vegetarian’ is better for health

Not true. Giving up meat and becoming a vegetarian might reduce certain risks of diseases associated with high meat consumption. But, unless you follow a balanced vegetarian eating plan you might simply swap one set of dietary risks for another. Remember, unbalanced diets are unhealthy diets whether or not they include meat.

Dispelling Myths About Veg Diets

Unbalanced vegetarian diets can be as unhealthy as unbalanced meat-based diets. So, do away with your unrealistic expectations

There are lots of misconceptions about vegetarian diets and vegetarian eating. Some of these notions make meat-eaters wary of vegetarian diets because of fears that vegetarianism is difficult or dangerous. While others lead vegetarians to have inaccurate or unreal expectations for a vegetarian diet, especially if they are trying to lose weight. Other myths can cause people to follow unhealthy vegetarian diet plans. Here are some of the bigger vegetarian myths we hear about.

Vegetarian diets are unhealthy

Not true. Unbalanced vegetarian diets are just as unhealthy as unbalanced meatbased diets. But balanced vegetarian eating plans are perfectly healthy. In fact, studies show that vegetarians enjoy better health than meat eaters, with reduced risks of heart disease and cancer.

Vegetarians can’t get enough protein without eating special combinations of plant foods

Not true. Yes, it's correct to say that particular combinations of plant foods — e.g. grains + legumes — boost the availability of protein from these foods. But combining foods in this way is no longer something vegetarians need do to guarantee adequate protein uptake. As long as the vegetarians eat these foods during the course of the day, their protein intake is fine. The secret to getting adequate protein is to eat a variety of foods throughout the day.

Make-up Tips For Winter

Moisturise, moisturise and moisturise. The most essential element in winter is to keep the skin hydrated

Use cream shadow for the eyes. The powdery look doesn't complement the harsh weather

Stay away from matte lip colours. Experiment with shades but keep the texture creamy or glossy. The lips can be a hint of peach-coral

Use cream blush on the cheeks. The creamy texture blends well into the skin and the glow seems natural, coming from within

Prevent cracked lips: If your lips are looking black, soak almonds in raw milk and wring this with fresh rose petals. Apply this mix on the lips for 10 minutes everyday.

Cracked lips are common during winter. Apply pure ghee on the lips everyday, at least three to four times

Whenever you use a lipstick, first clean the lips and cover them with a little foundation that you have applied for your face. Apply a lip pencil to outline the shape of your lips. Fill in the lip colour carefully

Eat Right Food in Winter Season

Eating a healthy meal is as important in winter as in other seasons of the year. Healthy eating habits should not drop with a drop in temperatures. We still need a well-balanced diet with lots of vegetables, fruits and whole grains. Ayurveda believes that the digestive fire within us is stronger in the winter months. There is also a marginal increase in the basal metabolic rate in winter. Perhaps this is what makes us hungrier in winter than in summer. Unfortunately, many people load themselves with high calorie and high fat foods in winter in order to satiate their hunger. This not only adds weight to the body but also reduces immunity.

Some studies done in countries with long dark freezing winters have shown that cholesterol levels increase during this season. Though the reasons are not specific, one of the reasons for this increase might be due to eating high fat foods in winter.

Winter is the time of the year when one gets tempted to eat comfort foods like hot bhajias, pakodas, piping hot samosas etc. It is very easy to gain weight feasting on these foods.

Here is a healthy diet for the cold months:

Eat plenty of vegetables in the form of clear soups, boiled or baked. Salads though healthy might not be tempting in the cold season

A couple of fruits everyday are needed Hot brown rice, whole wheat toast, hot phulkas, warm pasta, oats or ragi porridge will make a sumptuous carbohydrate dish

Include whole pulses like rajma, moong and channa because they are filling and nutritious. You can keep yourself warm with herbal teas. If needed, use minimal amounts of honey to sweeten the herbal teas

Include spices and nuts in the diet. Nuts are filling and nutrient-packed. Alternative therapists believe that some spices like pepper, ginger and garlic give warmth to the body and are useful in winter

Luke warm water is a nice way to make sure your water requirement is met and you don’t shiver

Stay away from fried foods and rich desserts. Even if you get tempted to snack on hot bondas, make sure you burn off the calorie loads by adequate exercise

Alcohol and caffeine have a mild dehydrating effect. Don’t overload yourselves with these beverages in order to keep warm

Tips to be Great Kisser

Read on for tips to ensure that each kiss you share with your lover is a memorable experience.

There is no better way to end a great date than with a passionate kiss. If you are able to give your partner the perfect kiss, he/she won’t be able to forget the date for a long time. Make sure you plant him/her with an unforgettable one that will leave him/her wanting more.

Create the perfect ambience: If indoors, set the mood with dim lighting or, even better, use candle light. If you are the outdoors-type, there is nothing better than watching the stars together.

Manipulate: Gently caress their ears with your fingertips as you are kissing. This will show your affection for your partner. You can even try tilting their head to a comfortable position this way.

Sweet nothings: Just because you’re planning for that perfect kiss doesn’t mean you have to be silent. Compliment your partner or tease him/her a little. It will liven-up the moment.

Don’t remain still like a statue: Use your hands to hold your partner either by their waist or by their shoulders, whichever is more comfortable.

Avoid bad breath: One easy tip is to eat an apple before meeting your lover for the big date. Another more practical option is carrying peppermints so that you can keep your mouth smelling fresh throughout.

Don’t be timid or shy: Let go of all your inhibitions and open your mouth wide while kissing. This will show your partner how passionate you are about him/her.

Try French kissing: For most, it is their favourite style of kissing. Make the moment more magical by using your tongue. Play around with your partner and have fun.

Try Lip-o-suction: Take turns with your partner, alternating between kissing the lower and upper lip. Don’t hesitate to try out new styles of
kissing.

Change your kissing style: Surprise your partner a little by changing the tempo and movement. Alternately, you could try eating a piece of chocolate and then kissing your partner — he/she will love the taste.
