Change your perspective. View it as a growth-oriented transition. Rediscover your strengths and nurture them. Indulge in a long forgotten hobby. Pamper yourself for a while. Practice yoga and meditation

Do not get into another physical relationship for the next six months to one year

Seek counselling. You don't have to consult a counsellor, but make sure you are surrounded by plenty of friends with whom you can discuss your issues

In case you have children, clear custody. If you are not able to break the news to your children, then make sure you seek a child counsellor's help

Share a healthy relationship with your ex-spouse.
